STATUS TRACKER · RELEASE & DEMO
Dear Passengers Release and Demo Tracker
A dated status tracker for the Dear Passengers release window, public demo, Gamescom build, price, platforms, and every launch detail still unannounced.
Reporting rule: confirmed facts are tied to named sources. Interpretation is labeled, and missing details stay unknown until FLEXUS or Steam publishes them.
Status on August 19, 2026: the full game is listed for 2026 on Windows PC. FLEXUS has discussed a Gamescom build and a later public demo, but the public build is not downloadable from Steam and has no announced date. Price, exact release day, maximum player count, and console versions remain unknown.
What “2026” confirms
Steam's release field currently says 2026. That is the only public launch window controlled by the storefront. It confirms the target year but not a quarter, month, day, time zone, or preload. Any page naming a more precise date needs a newer FLEXUS source; a retailer placeholder, search snippet, or countdown cannot create one.
A target year can also change during development. This tracker treats 2026 as current rather than irreversible. If the Steam field changes, the live storefront becomes the primary source and this page records the new state instead of preserving an older claim for search traffic.
What FLEXUS has said about a demo
FLEXUS co-founder Semen Kozyura told dev.ua that the team was preparing a Gamescom demo and intended to make a public demo available later. This is meaningful because it is an attributed developer statement, not a community rumor. It still leaves several steps open: the event build and home build may differ, “later” has no exact interval, and the interview does not establish Steam Next Fest participation.
On August 19, the public Steam page does not show a Download Demo button or a Steam Playtest request panel. Therefore the correct status is “planned, not available,” not “released.” A trailer, influencer video, show-floor build, or private press key is not a public download.
Gamescom access is a separate question
The interview places a playable build at a Ukrainian games booth, but a booth plan does not publish a hall number, stand number, queue policy, playable days, age restriction, session length, or reservation system. Travelers should wait for FLEXUS or the relevant event booth to publish logistics rather than treating the event's general opening hours as a guaranteed Dear Passengers appointment.
A public demo becomes available only when an official store or FLEXUS-controlled channel exposes a working download or registration path. A promise, screenshot, or third-party key page is not enough.
Price, preorder, and Early Access
Steam currently provides no price or purchase button because the game has not launched. FLEXUS has not announced a preorder package, founder edition, paid beta, or Early Access model in the sources checked here. “Free to play” may appear among user-generated Steam tags; user tags are not a publisher pricing statement and should not be treated as one.
Platforms beyond Windows
Windows is the only confirmed platform. Console, Mac, Linux, Steam Deck, cloud, and VR versions are unannounced. A future port is possible, but possibility is not evidence. The platform row changes only when FLEXUS or an official platform store lists a version.
What to watch next
- A Steam demo button, Playtest panel, or developer download announcement
- Gamescom booth location and hands-on schedule from FLEXUS
- A full gameplay video showing a complete flight rather than a montage
- An exact release date or updated Steam release field
- Price, recommended PC requirements, and controller information
- Maximum co-op size and matchmaking details
How to get a legitimate notification
Wishlisting or following the official Steam app is the safest low-effort option. FLEXUS also links its official community channels from the store and studio site. Avoid entering account credentials on unofficial “beta key” pages. This site does not distribute builds, collect playtest registrations, or promise access.
For a field-by-field view beyond launch timing, use the confirmed-versus-unknown fact check. Every status above also appears in the public source ledgerso a change can be traced to evidence rather than silent copy edits.
