Dear Passengers Revealed for Steam With a 2026 Window
A source-led record of the original Dear Passengers reveal, confirmed modes and mechanics, first official trailer, and launch details that were not announced.
Reporting rule: confirmed facts are tied to named sources. Interpretation is labeled, and missing details stay unknown until FLEXUS or Steam publishes them.
Reveal baseline: Dear Passengers was introduced as a 2026 Windows game with single-player and online co-op. One crew member can pilot while others work in the cabin, serve passengers, protect risky cargo, and respond to physics-driven problems made worse by weather and turbulence.
The world's worst airline premise
FLEXUS frames the player as airline crew rather than a passenger or conventional simulator pilot. The job is to deliver people and cargo, preferably intact, while an unreliable plane and demanding manifest create overlapping problems. The comedy comes from shared failure: a cockpit decision can turn loose luggage and unfinished service into a cabin emergency.
Systems confirmed at reveal
- Single-player and online co-op
- Piloting the aircraft or working inside the cabin
- Pre-flight passenger and cargo selection
- Higher payouts generally bringing more trouble
- Physics-based passengers, cargo, and cabin chaos
- Dynamic weather, turbulence, and air pockets
- Food, drinks, passenger needs, and emergency response
What the trailer added
The announcement video showed the premise in motion: first-person cockpit work, crowded aisles, service tasks, unusual cargo, rough weather, damaged aircraft, and people or objects moving through the cabin. Those scenes are useful visual evidence, but an edited trailer cannot establish the maximum lobby size, mission order, scoring system, or performance of a public build.
What the reveal did not settle
Steam supplied a target year rather than a day or month. It did not publish a price, preorder, Early Access plan, maximum crew size, recommended PC tier, controller details, or additional platform versions. The store also did not explain how single-player covers both cockpit and cabin responsibilities.
The 2026 Windows window remains live. Later updates added a public-demo plan, a Gamescom build, two million reported wishlists, and confirmation that players fully control the plane; they did not add an exact release date.
